67 Years
Susan Carlyle Crain Sonoski will forever be in our thoughts. She was born on April 16, 1944 and adopted by Marjorie and Charles Crain. She and her sister grew up in Westminster, Maryland. Susan studied American History and English at American University and West Virginia Wesleyan. Susan taught elementary school for a few years and then she became a mother. She was a long time member of the Nyack Field Club.
She was beautiful and kind; young at heart. She loved to walk, wash her car, play tennis and sit it the sun. The sound of her laugh, I will never forget; all those times I laughed with her until I cried and no longer remembered what we were laughing about. We all smiled when she wore shorts into October and sometimes even early November. At times she may have been quiet or kept to herself, but she was thinking of those she loved.
She had a hard journey these last few years and now she is finally at peace. She has her wings. Where ever she is, she is smiling down on us.
Susan loved owls. In her honor, we will be planting flower growing owl note cards so her spirit lives on.
She is survived by her husband Edward F. Sonoski, her daughter Jane CoCo Cowles, her sister Constance Brown and her cousins and friends. Services will be held Friday, November 11th, 2001 from 2 – 5 pm at Wyman Fisher
