After a long illness, George Thomas died in Calvary Hospital. He was 75 years old.
George was born in Charlotte, N.C. to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas. He graduated from Central High in 1949. He was a student at Mars Hill College and following service in the Navy he went on to graduate from Davidson College.
George was a member of Covenant Church. He married Dona Thomas of Larchmont,N.Y. where he settled and had a succesful career in the food industry. He was a member of the Larchmont Ave Church. He enjoyed sailing at the Larchmont Yacht Club and enjoyed many summers at his summer cottage in Northfield, Ma.
George is survived by his wife, his son Jim, daughter in law Lauren, his grandchildren, Sadie and Jake and his daughter, Susan Thomas. His brother, Tony and sister in law Judy are residents of Concord, N.C.
