Roberta L. Berger, 95, of Raleigh died June 12, 2008 at Sunrise at North Hills.She was born November 28, 1912 in Bellingham, Washington to Agnes and Axel Leaf. She received undergraduate and graduate degrees at Wheaton College, Illinois. She was married to the late David A. Berger for 60 years and they spent most of their married life in Rochester, New York, where she was active in church work, Literacy Volunteers, and was a teacher of special needs children.
She is survived by her son, Robert Berger and his wife Michele of Portsmouth VA, her daughter Mary Snyder and her husband Warren of Raleigh, grandchildren David Snyder, Lisa White and husband Scott, Cathy Organ and husband Scott, and Robert Berger, Jr. and wife Kathryn, and great grandchildren Victoria, Alex and Isabelle White, Christian, Rebecca, Grace, Micah and Faith Organ, and Katia Berger.A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11AM, at North Raleigh United Methodist Church, 8501 Honeycutt Road, Raleigh, 27615. The family looks forward to greeting friends at a reception following the service.
