| Rustic Ridge Pickup | Trash is picked up on the Ridge on Saturday afternoons beginning after 12PM. The pick-up service runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. We then skip a few weeks, only to resume later in October for late season visitors. |
| Northfield Transfer Station | You can take you trash to the “Dump” personally – it is on Caldwell Road, across the river in West Northfield. Caldwell veers off Rt. 142 about 2 miles north of the turn off from Rt. 10. (See Map) You need a Dump Sticker to use the dump – $5 from the Secretary’s office in the Town Hall. Dump Hours: Wednesday: 8 AM to 6 PM Friday: 8 AM to 6 PM Saturday: 7 AM to 4 PM |
| Greenfield Transfer Station | The Greenfield Solid Waste Transfer Station accepts a broader range of items than Northfield. There is a small extra fee for non-Greenfield residents. |
| Refuse Bags | Special pre-paid bags are now required for Northfield trash collection – whether you use the Ridge Pick-up service or take directly to the Transfer station. You can buy 15 gallon and 30 Gallon bags at the IGA, Mims Market or the Board of Health Office at Town Hall. |
| Recycling: | We have a two stream system: Newspapers, magazines, paper, cardboard etc. may be put in a paper bag. Glass, cans, and plastic bottles may be put together in a paper bag. |
